Chaloneria cormosa stem xs
In the photo at the top you can see the stem at a level where it has a pith, surrounded by primary xylem, phloem and cortex. There is no secondary xylem at this level. The triangular-shaped leaf bases appear at the edge of the stem, particularly in the upper left.  In the photograph at the bottom is a  higher magnification detail of stem structure.
At the top of the photo is the inner margin of the primary xylem. Lycopods typically have exarch protosteles, and here you can see the larger metaxylem to the top and smaller protoxylem strands toward the bottom (outer) margin. The tissue to the outside of the primary xylem is phloem, which is partly well preserved. There are several leaf traces visible in the phloem.
