Chaloneria cormosa megagametophytes
On the left you can see a Valvisisporites megaspore cut in longitudinal section. The cellular tissue contained inside the spore is the megagametophyte 
On the right you can see two more megaspores cut in longitudinal section. The one on the right is pointing up, the one on the left is pointing down at about 7 o'clock. In these spores, the trilete mark has opened slightly and the megagametophtyes are extended out of the spore.
