| Onoclea sensibilis is a modern filicalean fern that is distributed today in the eastern United States and eastern Canada. This fern likes to live in swampy areas, and has dimorphic fronds, producing vegetative fronds and fertile spikes. The fern on the left was photographed in eastern Virginia. On the right is a vegetative frond of Onoclea from Munce's Hill. |
