cf. Acer (Sapindaceae)
Schizocarpic samaras very similar to extant Acer (maple; Sapindaceae) are a relatively common component of the Almont and Beicegel Creek floras.  On the left is a specimen from the Almont flora, showing detailed venation and the characteristic matrix color at Almont. On the right is a samara from the Beicegel Creek flora, showing a different type of matrix. These fruits are currently under study.
